Reported in the Iredell Free News

Fifth Street Ministries recently received an $815 donation from JMS Southeast Inc. and Statesville Process Instruments Inc., which was made possible through a creative and generous employee-backed effort.

Each month, JMS Southeast and Statesville Process Instruments purchase snacks and drinks for their workplace vending machines, applies a 100% markup, and then donates all profits to local charities. This simple but impactful outreach provides steady support to organizations serving the Statesville and Iredell County community.

“This unique initiative shows how everyday workplace traditions can be turned into meaningful acts of generosity,” said Tamara Roach, executive director of Fifth Street Ministries. “We are blessed to be included in their monthly rotation and deeply grateful for the support that allows us to continue serving our neighbors in need.”

Funds raised through this donation will directly support Fifth Street Ministries’ mission to provide shelter, meals, and compassionate care to men, women, families, and veterans experiencing homelessness, as well as those escaping domestic violence.
